Dr. Allison Sian Margulies is a Clinical Psychologist and Adjunct Faculty in Social and Behavioral Sciences at Front Range Community College. She received her PhD in School Psychology with a specialization in Pediatric Psychology in 2006 and her MA in Psychology in 2003 from The University of Memphis. She also completed externships at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Omaha Public Schools through the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology. After receiving her doctoral degree, Dr. Margulies completed a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship through Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD, in Child Clinical Psychology and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities with specializations in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Neuropsychological Assessment.

Dr. Margulies has worked at hospitals, clinics, colleges, and schools over the course of her career, and has served as the Executive Director of a Psychological & Counseling Center and an Autism Center in Colorado. Her areas of specialization include Autism Spectrum Disorder and related neurodevelopmental and/or mental health disorders, comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments and evaluations, anxiety and mood disorders, positive behavior support and management, parenting support and psychoeducation, and school consultation. She has extensive experience diagnosing and treating individuals who present with complex, high-risk behavior and co-occurring neurodevelopmental and/or mental health disorders. She is particularly interested in the impact of Autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders on mental health, such as anxiety and depression, as well as executive functioning, social-emotional functioning and relationships, school/work success, and family dynamics.

Dr. Margulies has published and presented in the areas of cognitive and neuropsychological assessment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, pediatric health conditions, and giftedness, and she provides workshops and trainings to the Colorado community on topics such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, psychological assessment and evaluation, and positive behavior supports and management.
