Dr. Nicole Sitzer brings over 20 years of clinical expertise to her practice. She earned her
Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy
University in 2007, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at Karol Neuropsychological Services
and Consulting. In 2017, she completed her Board Certification in Health Psychology after
having spent nearly a decade serving Essentia Health’s specialty clinics including pain
management, neurology, oncology, gastroenterology and bariatrics. In addition to her sub
specialities, she also enjoys treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment to life issues
and trauma. Dr. Sitzer provides specialized care for neurological conditions such as migraine
headaches, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, neuroinvasive Lyme disease, stroke, brain injury, and
functional movement disorders, and psychogenic nonepileptic seizures. Additionally, she
conducts evaluations for bariatric surgery. Utilizing evidence-based modalities including
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
biofeedback, and hypnosis, Dr. Sitzer works with individuals and couples ages 12 and older.
