Patricia M. Tahan, Ph.D.received her doctorate and master’s degrees from Boston College and her bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross. Before relocating to Colorado, she practiced for several years in the Boston area at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center and the VA Medical Center.
Dr. Tahan has extensive training and expertise in cognitive and behavioral therapies and specializes in behavioral medicine. At Lahey Clinic, Dr. Tahan directed a Chronic Pain Management program, coordinated the eating disorders and weight control programs, served on the breast cancer treatment team, and contributed to the nationally accredited sleep disorders unit.
Dr. Tahan’s areas of expertise also include treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, and pregnancy and post-partum adjustment. She treats adults, older adults, adolescents, and couples. Dr. Tahan has training in the use of EMDR, and she has a special interest in the practice of mindfulness based cognitive therapies. Dr. Tahan currently serves on the board of directors for the Fort Collins Crossroads Safehouse. She is a member of the American Psychological Association. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tahan enjoys consulting and training.
